The month of fashion is almost over marking the start of the Fall/Winter seasons, so French Vogue gives us the lowdown from goldmine to the sixties.
There’s no doubt about it, Goldmine is my favorite trend of the season. When I look at it I feel like I’m in a Sci-Fi, like that’s one of the things that they would be wearing in that era, especially with the dress that appeared on the Saint Laurent runway. The look of the material gives it an “I’ve got things handled” feeling. Just think about it if you see someone walking down the street wearing that you’re going to turn your head once, turn it twice, and just to make that you saw the right thing you’re going to look at it for a third time.
Now, what about the Night birds. Normally something like this would creep me the hell out, but the dark colors plus the feathers is bringing me in for some unknown reason. Maybe it’s the 3-Dementional effect of the outfit or the fact that your presence will be known or the way this makes me think of a darker-than-usual Alice in Wonderland vibe but I can’t take my eyes of these no matter how hard I try.
Okay, so I already don’t like animal print, and this just…this just didn’t do anything to help me out with the trend. I’ve only seen animal prints on a garment that had a smooth texture to them, but I’ve never seen, or even imagined, one with the actual texture of the animal. Hopefully, this isn’t the actual animal because if it was it would not be worth it in my book, especially with the long coat that Celine had in their collection. I’m just like…,”Why?”
